Myro Zeka

Myro Zeka is currently a primary school teacher in Limassol. She graduated from the University of Exeter (2006-2007) with a Master’s degree in Education in Visual Art and the Creative Arts and from the University of Cyprus (2002-2006) obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She is teaching since 2008. She has attended to several seminars and courses on teaching art approaches and techniques. She teaches and is heavily involved with the Visual Arts Education since 2012. She also taught as a Lecturer at the University of Nicosia the subjects of “History of Art” and “Visual Meaning and Implementations in Primary School” (2012). Moreover Myro taught Art as a part time associate at a Private School in Larnaca (2008-2011). Under her guidance, her students have successfully participated in numerous art programs and activities. To this extent, in 2016, she collaborated with her students and external artists in the context of the European programme CREARTE: Creative Primary School Partnerships with Visual Artists. Moreover, she creates her own artworks and has participated in several exhibitions and events. She is an active person participating in many art related organisations and professional communities. Myro is a member of the Board of Directors of the CySEA (Cyprus Society for the Education through Arts).
