The school is situated in an urban area, located near the commercial port of Limassol. The school population consists of Greek-Cypriot students and students from Eastern-Europe and Middle East. Many of the students’ families migrated to Cyprus, either as economic migrants, or as refugees and asylum seekers. The majority of students’ families have low socio-economic level. The school has a well-equipped art room with a computer and a video projector.The students’ population is diverse. They come from different EU countries. However, their common denominator is the appreciation and love for the arts. Even though, they don’t have personal experience with this field they have a strong interest and appreciation for the arts. The subject of this project is directly related to their everyday life. Students are not familiar with the most of the materials and techniques used, neither with the installation.
