Efi Ioakim is currently working as an art teacher in a primary school as well as an Art Advisor and Curriculum Officer for the Cyprus Visual Arts Curriculum at the Cyprus Pedagogical Institute. She has organised and implemented educational programmes in museums and galleries, participated in European programmes and organised workshops that involve cooperation with schools, the community and artists. She has participated in conferences in Cyprus and abroad presenting mainly Art Education subjects. She produces educational art resources for the Ministry of Education's web site and she is a member of the team of authors of publications related to art and gallery education. She has also worked as a visiting lecturer at the University of Cyprus. She has illustrated children's and adults' literature books. Her recent artistic work is focused on issues of identity and place with the involvement of the audience.
